Service Times


 
Our Members:
 

Worship Ministries

Altar Guild
The group that cares for the furnishings (linens, cleaning, set-up for services, flowers, and many other things) of the Cathedral chancel. They usually work on Saturday mornings.

Bread Makers
The group that bakes the bread used at our 9:15 and 11:00 services on Sunday.

Chalice Bearers
A team of trained and licensed ministers of Communion.

Choir
Provides music at the 11:00 service, at Choral Evensong, and at special services.

Newcomers
Helps people new to the parish to find their way into the community.

Nursery
Provides care for infants and small children during the 9:15 and 11:00 services.

Readers and Intercessors
Those who read lessons and lead the prayers of the people at the 9:15 and 11:00 services.

Servers Guild
Those who serve on Sundays and throughout the week, as needed.

Sidespeople
The people responsible for taking the collection and helping during the services

Sunday School
Care and education for children during the11:00 service.

Welcomers
People who greet, hand out bulletins, and generally help others to feel welcome at All Saints'.

Pastoral Ministries

Pastoral Care Group
A group of people who visit those who are unable to come to the Cathedral, on behalf of the whole congregation.

Prayer Group
Ministries of prayer, including a prayer chain, the special intercessions at services, and corporate intercessory prayer on Thursdays.

Spiritual Growth Ministries

Education
The ministry team that organizes education at All Saints', including Wednesday Education nights, Children's Days and other initiatives.

Friendship Guild
Originally, the women's group.  The Friendship Guild meets monthly to discuss topics of interest and provide hospitality.

Hospitality
The team that organizes and provides hospitality at Cathedral events.

Library
The organization and care of the Cathedral's books.

Men's Breakfast Group
Meets every six weeks for breakfast at the Cathedral.  The men gather for good food and fellowship, as well as a small devotional piece.  New cooks and new recipes welcome!

Outreach
The Cathedral's efforts at ministry in the wider community, including participation in Edmonton City Centre Church Corporation (E4C), Inner city pastoral ministry and Edmonton organization for outreach, food banks and many other things.

Primates World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) / Partners in Mission (PIM)
Ministries of outreach to the global community, in conjunction with the diocese and the national church.

Stewardship
A year round stewardship teaching in the giving of ourselves in terms of time & talents, finances, environment, hospitality within the community as well as outreach. 

Thursday Lunch Ministry
Thursday after the midday Eucharist, a light lunch with sandwiches, veggies, fruits and cakes is served and enjoyed.

Young People
Events for the young people of All Saints' Cathedral (events, meetings, etc.).

Worship Ministry
Meets monthly to review on-going worship activities and events.

Property and Fabric Ministries

Fabric
The team that works to develop, maintain, and improve the Cathedral building and furnishings.

History and Archives
They record the history of the Cathedral and maintain the display in the narthex.

Finance and Administration

Budget
The group that develops and presents the annual parish budget.

Finance and Investment
A team that monitors and makes suggestions regarding the financial resources of All Saints'.

Envelopes
The people who issue, record, and report on the envelopes and givings.

Communications Ministries

Announcements
The group that make the announcements and helps people to know what's going on around here.

Photo Directory
A pictorial directory of the member of All Saints' was last produced in 2001.

Saints Alive and Website
Our parish newsletter. This ministry involves the coordination and production of Saints Alive four times per year and the maintenance of the website..
